A Legacy of Service, A Community United.
Honoring Our Ancient Heritage, Empowering Our Community Through Seva.
Madhyadeshiya Vaishya Seva Trust: Unity, Service, and Tradition.
The Four Pillars of Our Trust:
Our Historical Foundation
Established on November 14, 1991, the Madhyadeshiya Vaishya Seva Trust was formed to unite the Kanu community in North Bengal. This continued the mission started by the All India Mahasabha in 1905 to uplift our ancient community.
Our Community Home
A historic achievement for the Kanu Samaj, the foundation stone for Kanu Bhawan was laid on December 3, 1998, and the building was formally inaugurated on March 6, 2003. It serves as the central hub for all our social and cultural activities.
Service (Seva) to Society
We are committed to social welfare through initiatives like our free Homeopathic Clinic. We also regularly organize "Anndaan" (food donation) drives, health camps, disaster relief efforts, and honor meritorious students.
Community Wings
The Trust is strongly supported by its active wings: the Madhyadeshiya Yuva Manch (Youth Wing), formed in 1991 , and the Madhyadeshiya Mahila Manch (Women's Wing). Both groups are essential to our cultural events and service projects.
How Can We Help You?
As the central hub for the Madhyadeshiya Vaishya Seva Trust, Kanu Bhawan is open to all our community members, friends, and neighbors. We are here to answer your questions, whether they are about our cultural events, our spiritual mission, or our charitable activities. We look forward to hearing from you and working together to serve our society.
